A Master’s Degree in Human Rights is an interdisciplinary graduate program focused on the promotion, protection, defense, and study of fundamental rights at the national and international levels. It addresses areas such as International Humanitarian Law (IHL), justice, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution.
With a humanistic approach, the curriculum of the Master’s degree in the interdisciplinary field of human rights combines historical, philosophical, political, and legal perspectives on the complex phenomenon of human rights in our world. The academic scope of the Master’s curriculum is reflected in our faculty. We are committed to the idea that human rights should be considered and studied as part of the infrastructure of a democratic society, and not just as fundamental principles or the basis of rights and laws.
This research-focused program is aimed at students interested in developing interdisciplinary skills relevant to the economic and cultural challenges of our time. We focus on an interactive teaching approach that is closely linked to course research. As part of their studies, students have the opportunity to participate in professional internships.
